Methods to access Snipping tool

There are two ways I use to access the Snipping tool. I am gonna discuss all two of them with you guys, the choice is yours select whichever method you like the most.

Keyboard Shortcuts:

The first & most used method which I use the most is using Keyboard shortcut keys & this method is easy to remember.

Use this combination to open the Snipping tool. Press Ctrl + Alt + Show Windows & snipping tool will open instantly with just a blink of an eye.

Just drag your mouse & select the area that you want to select and save the snip.

Or you can capture a specific area from the Window with this shortcut command Ctrl + Shift + Show Windows, after pressing this shortcut key combination hover over the window you want to capture and Click once.

Quick Settings Panel:

You have to look for the Clock icon which will be in the bottom right corner of your Chromebook’s screen and then you have to click on it to reveal the settings panel.

In the Quick Settings panel, you have to search for the screen capture icon. Once you’ve found it simply click on it.

Capture Specific Area

Think of it like painting. Your mouse is the brush, and your screen is the canvas. Click and drag to draw a box around the picture, text, or website you want to keep.

Don’t worry if it’s not perfect at first – you can resize the box later, just like adjusting the frame on a painting.

Capture a Window

No more squinting at confusing keyboard shortcuts you can use this method which most of my friends use for snipping!

With Chromebook snipping, capturing a whole window is as easy as pointing and clicking. Just click the “Window Capture” button, and bingo! That pesky pop-up or browser page is yours to tame.

Capture Web page

The internet is like a giant jungle, full of information trees. Sometimes you just need a single leaf, not the whole branch.

That’s where web page snipping comes in. Click “Web Page Capture” to grab the whole screen, or be like a digital gardener and snip just the leaf you need by dragging your mouse. Remember, be kind to the digital jungle and only take what you need!
