If you want to afford some nice things in the Sims 3 game, then this guide is for you who is hard hardcore simmer or a casual gamer like some of my friends.

If you’re tired of your Sims living in a shack, then I can help you get rich quickly and buy the house of your Sims’ dreams. 

You can do the normal jobs like you can be a Cashier or Retail worker or you work in the Fast food chain and you can also become a Barista but keep in mind these jobs these jobs typically pay less than the highest paying jobs, but they can be a good way to start and earn some extra money. 

When I was testing the laptops for the Sims 3 game I researched along with my team in this topic and found that people need to know the highest-paying jobs in Sims 3.

This made me curious and made me do research with my team for the highest-paying jobs in the Sims 3 game.  

Astronaut 

The most and highest paying job in the game is to become an Astronaut and get paid well. But keep this thing in mind you need some set of skills to become one.

You need Athletics level 7, Handiness level 7, and Logic level 5.

When you have these levels of skills in your player then you are eligible to become one and can apply for the Astronaut career at the City Hall so you can get paid well. 

When I was playing with this Astronaut job I felt really amazing and it was a great experience in the game to become an Astronaut and do the moon landings.

The Astronaut career is a 10-level career. At level 1, Sims earns §320 per hour. By level 10, Sims earns §1,880 per hour. 

How to Increase Skill set?

I am sharing some tips with you guys that I used to upgrade the level of my Sims 3.

You can follow these tips and tricks for your Simmer in order to increase the level of the skill set that you want if you want high-paying work. 

To increase my Athletics level follow these tips which I have applied personally along with my team and got the best results for my Simmer in order to achieve this Astronaut job:

  • Exercise
  • Take Martial arts classes
  • Become a professional athlete

When you start doing these activities which I have mentioned above then your athletic level will increase automatically so don’t worry about this just keep doing these activities so you guys can increase the skill set level of your Simmer.

To increase your Handiness skill you can follow these tips which I used to increase skill set:

  • Repair objects
  • Build objects
  • Take woodworking classes
  • Become a professional carpenter

If you can build perfect houses in Sims 3 then you can also earn a lot by selling those houses. If you want to learn about building a perfect house in Sims 3, then follow the tips that I have shared from my personal experience.

Now you have to increase the last skill which you must increase only then you are eligible for the Astronaut job. Here are the tips to increase this Logic:

  • Play chess or logic puzzles
  • Read books about logic and mathematics 
  • Take a logic class
  • Become a professional scientist

Docter 

I heard from some of my simmer friends who are hardcore gamers and often play Sims 3 for fun and entertainment purposes that becoming a doctor in the game also benefits you in terms of money. The Doctor career is a 10-level career.

At level 1, Sims earns §400 per hour. By level 10, Sims earns §1,700 per hour. You also get additional earnings other than the hourly wage which is diagnosing illnesses and performing surgery. 

To become a Doctor in The Sims 3, your Sim must have the following skills:

  • Medicine Level 10
  • Science level 7
  • Logic level 5

You will also get a promotion in this career also so don’t worry about getting stuck in one position once and for all. That is not the case with this career. 

Make money quickly in Sims 3 infographics

Here are a few things you must do so you can increase your skill set to achieve this position:

  • Enroll your Sim in the Science career at level 5
  • Has your Sim taken Logic classes at the university
  • Purchase a Medical Microscope and a Science Station
  • Have your Sim read books about Medicine and Science
  • Make friends with other Sims who are interested in becoming Doctors

Now I will share some more specific skills that you need to learn to become a successful and high-paying doctor: 

Medicine:

  • Purchase a medical microscope and practice using it.
  • Read books about medicine.
  • Use the medical microscope to examine specimens.
  • Have your Sim diagnose and treat illnesses.

Science:

  • Purchase a science station and practice using it.
  • Read books about science.
  • Use the science station to conduct experiments.
  • Have your Sim invent new items.

Logic:

  • Play chess or logic puzzles.
  • Read books about logic and mathematics.
  • Take logic classes at the university.
  • Have your Sim argue with other Sims.

You can easily become a high-paying doctor with little effort done on your simmer so if you are interested in becoming a successful and high-paying doctor then read the tips that I tested and used that gave me results and made me a successful doctor so I can get all the luxuries which I wanted for my Simmer. 

Engineer

Not interested in becoming an Astronaut or doctor then don’t worry I have found another high-paying job for your Simmer that will help you and your Simmer to achieve the goals that you wanted.

To become a successful engineer you must have these skill set levels. Once you achieve these mentioned skill set levels then there is no way of coming back from enjoying luxuries etc. 

  • Engineering level 10
  • Handiness level 5
  • Logic level 5

Once you have gotten the required skill sets you can apply for this position in City Hall. Now coming to the earning part, don’t worry I have earned a lot from this field also when I was testing the laptops on which you can play the Sims 3 game without any lag or high latency. 

The Engineer career is a 10-level career. At level 1, Sims earns §380 per hour. By level 10, Sims earns §2,100 per hour.

In addition to their hourly wage, engineers also earn bonuses for completing tasks, such as designing and building new objects. For example, Sims can earn a bonus of §200 for designing a new object or §500 for building a new robot.

Here are some tips for increasing your Sim’s Engineering, Handiness, and Logic skills:

Engineering:

  • Purchase a workbench and practice using it.
  • Read books about engineering.
  • Use the workbench to design and build new objects.
  • Have your Sim repair broken objects.
  • Have your Sim upgraded objects.

Handiness:

  • Purchase a toolbox and practice using it.
  • Read books about handiness.
  • Use the toolbox to repair broken objects.
  • Have your Sim upgraded objects.
  • Have your Sim build and repair furniture.

Logic:

  • Play chess or logic puzzles.
  • Read books about logic and mathematics.
  • Take logic classes at the university.
  • Have your Sim argue with other Sims.

Here below are some tips for getting promoted in the engineering career which I use and my teammates for simmer. Follow these tips below to become a successful director. 

  • Perform well at work and get good performance reviews
  • Build your skills: More charisma, creativity, and logic skills will make you get promoted. 
  • Start building your skills early
  • Make friends with other Sims in the entertainment industry
  • Network with other Sims
  • Be creative 
  • Be persistent

Film Director

Yes, you read it right. You can make tons of money by producing films in the game.

To become a successful Film Director you need the following skill sets and levels in order to become eligible for this job. 

  • Charisma: 10
  • Creativity: 10
  • Logic: 5

Once you have achieved these levels of skill sets then you can apply for the Film Director career at the Bridgeport Film Studio without any hesitation.

At level one you will earn §380 per hour and when you reach the top level which is level 10 you will be earning §2,100 per hour.

You can earn this much once you reach this level so to enjoy a luxurious life you have to work hard in any of these jobs that I have mentioned in my blog. 

You will also receive a seriously heavy bonus of §200 for directing a film that makes a profit or §500 for directing a film that wins an award.

To earn this much you have to increase you skill set levels by following these methods below:

Charisma: 

  • Socialize with other Sims 
  • Give speeches and tell jokes
  • Make your Sims watch TV shows and movies about charisma

Creativity:

  • You can paint, draw, or sculpt to increase creativity
  • Have your Sim write books, poems, or songs
  • Make your Sim to listen to music or watch movies about creativity

Logic:

  • Play Chess or logic puzzles
  • Read books about logic and mathematics
  • Take logic classes at the University

I have used these tips and methods to increase the skill set level of my Sim and these methods which I have used are a must to follow if you also want to increase your skill set level for a Film Director Job.

Tips for making the most money in Sims 3

You must have these things in your mind to get a high-paying job so you can enjoy the luxuries. So, here are some tips for making the most money in your Sims’ careers:

  • Make sure your Sims have the required skills and qualifications for the job they want.
  • Perform well at work and get good performance reviews.
  • Work hard and get promoted.
  • Take advantage of opportunities to earn bonuses.
  • Invest in real estate or other businesses to generate passive income.
  • Choose a high-paying career
  • Get promoted
  • Invest in real estate
  • Start a business
  • Take advantage of opportunities
  • Focus on high-value items
  • Sell your items in bulk
  • Take care of your Sims’ needs
  • Use your Sims’ skills and traits to your advantage

You can do some other jobs other than the ordinary ones which pay well.

These are some jobs that will pay you well if you increase the skill set level of your Sim. I have played in the game with these jobs and earned a lot.

Some of the team members also played with these career roles and found these jobs high-paying so you have the word of a whole group. 

Don’t worry if you want to earn well and spend a luxurious life in the Sims 3 game just follow the tips in this blog post which are from my self and from my team’s experience.

Some of the fastest ways to make money are Painting, Writing, Gardening etc. these jobs will pay you enough to live but you can’t afford luxuries in these jobs so keep in mind before opting for these ones for the rest of your Sim career.  

The best job to do is to become a Surgeon of level 10 who will make §948 per hour, which is the highest hourly wage of any career in the game. Surgeons also have the opportunity to work overtime, which can earn them even more money. Keep in mind you would need a high skill set level to become a level 10 Surgeon.

The richest Sim is a matter of opinion, but to my knowledge, the Landgraab family is generally considered to be the wealthiest family in The Sims franchise. They are the most established family in the game, and they own some of the most expensive properties in the game, and they have a lot of influence in the business world.

You can opt for both traditional and non-traditional ways to make a lot of money in the Sims game. You can choose a high-paying career, develop Sim’s skills, Invest in real estate or you can start your own business and succeed in that.

Start with Sim with high skills and focus on one skill at a time which pave your way and you will be able to earn money. Take advantage of opportunities and don’t be afraid to cheat if you are struggling to make money, you can always cheat yourself some extra Simoleons. Just don’t overuse the cheats cause it can ruin the challenge of the game.
