How to complete the Legacy Challenge in The Sims 3?

Do you want to create a dynasty that will last generations? If so, then the Legacy Challenge is for you.

One of my team members found this challenge and after searching I found this challenge quite fascinating to complete so we decided to complete this challenge.

Well, the legacy challenge will force you to focus on different aspects of the game and it requires you to complete ten generations of your family which means you will die eventually and have to start over. 

But the awards points for having perfect grandchildren and collecting heirlooms make the game rewarding. It will be repetitive at times, which makes it difficult to stay engaged.

Let me tell you that I left this challenge many times, but my team members motivated me to continue this challenge and complete it.

Also, Sims can live forever, which makes it difficult to create a generational legacy. 

You can have too many perfect children which makes the game look unrealistic to play. So, take this challenge as fun and enjoy. 

Well, if you don’t know what is a legacy challenge then read this short intro for your information and knowledge.

This challenge was created by a fan who requires you to complete the ten generations of your family, earning legacy points along the way.

You can earn these points by completing your Founder Sim’s lifetime wish, earning aspiration points, reaching the top of your career, having perfect grandchildren, and collecting heirlooms.

Creating your Founder Sim

The Legacy Challenge is a great way to add a new dimension to your Sims 3 gameplay.

It forces you to focus on different aspects of the game, such as raising children and completing lifetime wishes, instead of just acquiring wealth. 

The first and foremost step to start this challenge is to choose your legacy trait.

When you are creating your Founder Sim, you have to choose a legacy trait for the challenge which passes down to all of your subsequent generations.

I chose the Perfectionist trait for this challenge and some of my team members have chosen Genius and some have chosen family-oriented. 

It is very important to consider your play style and the goals that you have for your family.

One factor you should consider is whether you want your family to be wealthy and successful or you want them to be a close-knit family.

Do you want to play realistically or do you prefer to have more of a fantastical gameplay experience it’s totally up to you. 

Your home does not have anything fancy just some essentials. like a bed, toilet, shower, kitchen, and a play to eat and relax.

I purchased budget-friendly materials and furniture before starting this challenge and it saved a fortune while completing this challenge.

You should start with the small house then you can expand it as your family grows. 

One of my team members purchased a large house and he couldn’t complete this challenge due to a shortage of funds.

You can add amenities later on and you must prioritize the essentials first.  

Completing Generations

Now, you have to try for a baby with another Sim or you can adopt a child.

Then you you have to raise your child to adulthood which includes teaching them basic skills like helping them to make friends and helping them to develop their personality.

And then when they grow up they should have children of their own. 

Repeat having children and then your children having children until ten generations of your family. 

During this challenge, you have to manage your finances wisely and you will need enough money to support your growing family so they can purchase the basic necessary items for your home.

And try to keep track of your family tree which will ensure that you are meeting all the requirements which are required for this challenge.

Some of my team members who kept track didn’t have to scramble things and those members who didn’t keep track had many difficulties along with the unexpected events in the game such as death and job losses.

You have to enjoy completing this challenge because it will test your Sim-playing skills.   

Earning Legacy Points

To earn legacy points during the challenge you have to complete your founder Sim’s lifetime wish that is why you choose a lifetime wish that can be achievable but also requires hard work so you can enjoy achieving that.

By earning aspiration points you will receive legacy points which you will from your Sims’s goals and wishes. 

You have to reach on top of your career, which is challenging during this challenging but this will also give you points.

If you successfully raise perfect grandchildren as I mentioned earlier will ensure that your legacy trait is passed down to future generations.

A perfect Grandchild is a child who has all of their skills maxed out and who has a good personality. 

New gamers who take this challenge will face some difficulties but don’t worry I completed this challenge and succeeded along with some of my team members just follow the tips that I have shared in this blog post and you can surpass the difficulties.

New gamers face to complete lifetime wishes during the challenge because it can be quite challenging and it take a long time to complete time.

That’s why some gamers lose interest some get demotivated etc whatever you name it. 

If you are doing great but your Sim dies before completing their lifetime wish then you also lose the opportunity to earn legacy points so that’s why it is quite challenging but yet fun to complete.

Aspiration points are also difficult to earn, especially if you are playing with a large family. 

Reaching on top of your career and having perfect grandchildren are also a challenge in itself but don’t get demotivated you can discuss your problems in the comments sections and we will help you to complete this challenge.

Collecting heirlooms can be difficult but they are very rare to find and some can be very expensive to purchase. 

Winning the Legacy Challenge

You have to be patient and persistent during this challenge because this challenge takes time and effort to complete and earn legacy points.

Don’t get demotivated or discouraged by the issues and difficulties you face during this challenge. 

Pay attention to your grandchildren’s needs and skills Choose a career that you enjoy and that you are good at and Focus on earning aspiration points early on.

Once you have won the Legacy Challenge, your family will be awarded a special tombstone. This tombstone will be unique to your family and will commemorate their achievement.

Our team member was the first who complete this challenge and we celebrated in our office too, I remember how much we enjoyed it when he completed this challenge among us. 

Winning the Legacy Challenge is a great accomplishment. It is a testament to your skill as a Sims player and your dedication to your family.

And executing this challenge in the game, to be honest with you guys this challenge was boring and time-consuming.
